Welcome
Nature Walkers is a Rossmoor Walnut Creek Club located in the California East Bay which
was inspired by residents’ needs during the Covid pandemic.
The loss of access to the Fitness Center and most of Rossmoor’s social clubs left many residents feeling isolated and in need of more opportunities for connection and exercise.
With over 80 founding members, the club received official approval from Golden Rain Foundation in January, 2021.

As the club’s mission statement explains, “Nature Walkers is an organization of Rossmoor residents who value the scientific evidence that immersion in nature is important in maintaining and improving physical and mental health.
Our mission is two-fold: to advance public understanding of this issue and to support the expansion of accessible, well-designed walking options that will increase opportunities to socialize, meet new friends and strengthen our community.”
